HiQ Scoops National TyreSafe Award for its Part Worn Education Campaign
25th November 2013
HiQ, the national fast-fit franchise network, has been recognised for its efforts in educating consumers about the dangers of part-worn tyres by TyreSafe, the leading organisation dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of illegal or defective tyres.
At the inaugural TyreSafe Awards, HiQ received the Franchise Dealer Award for its part worn campaign, which included a range of resources to help franchisees educate local consumers about the risks they face by fitting part worn tyres to their vehicles.
On awarding HiQ the accolade, TyreSafe chairman Stuart Jackson said: “HiQ has been putting significant efforts into supporting TyreSafe’s activities in raising awareness about the dangers and risks associated with part worn tyres.
“As well as clear online information and advice, their campaign has included innovative point-of-sale and a radio day with Sunday Times motoring journalist Jason Dawes. The efforts and creativity of the HiQ team led to a 100% take-up of the campaign across its network of outlets, which is why we were delighted to recognise their achievement with this award.”
Anna Stanley, Assistant Retail Marketing Manager at HiQ, who accepted the award, said: “We’re really pleased to receive this award. Road safety is at the heart of what we do; educating consumers about the dangers of part worn tyres is an important step to reducing the number of dangerous tyres on our roads.
